Spring Break!

This week has been crazy but I learned a lot about healthcare and education. The main goal of my final product is to educate patients about their cancer development and the role of epigenetics. My goal is to provide information on lifestyle habits such as diet, exercise, and health habits for patients with specific cancers to follow. By seeing how organizations published information and the overall public reaction to educational resources published by healthcare organization, I learned a lot about communication and patient education in healthcare. I saw what information stuck with the public and was shared/ followed and I also saw how information was presented.

This week I worked on my video and I have put together a more concrete set of ideas and templates for my video. This process is much harder than I expected and it is taking a lot longer than I thought. I am considering changing video formats so I can focus more on the content and educate patients better. However, since I have a lot of time now I think I can try and create better edited videos on different platforms and put them together. Next week I will work on my pamphlet/ brochure to give to patients along with the video on the website. I would like to create a digital version of these as well.
